In an attempt to delay writing my paper... I thought I would post a few pictures from a 'switching on of the illuminations' celebration. Hooray for christmas lights and a double hooray for mince pies and mulled wine - so delicious! The shop windows are all looking quite festive and there is christmas music played along the street... but get this - no one really does lights on their houses! A bit sad, I guess they make up for it with their christmas puddings :)
