Probably the highlight of my weekend though was hanging out with the new friends we made...
We drank coffee, had dinner, ate gelato and drank more coffee with a lovely family from...
Cork - in Ireland! Ha, I guess it just shows where our hearts are, since we go to Italy just to spend time with the Irish. They were absolutely wonderful though - Andy, Marian and their very entertaining 8 year old son & 13 year old daughter. It was great! (But unfortunately, I don't have a picture of them to show you.. that might have been creepy?)
These first pictures are a few of my host family from a few weekends ago! It was Jonathan's debs - which is like prom - so he was all dressed up and waiting for his date to arrive. They had a little get together with family and friends at the house before he left - It was really fun!

Jonathan & Dorothy
Me, David, Jonathan & Dor - but unfortunately Matthew (my other host brother) was away for the weekend at a ski competition, so he's not in the picture!
Now for the pictures from Italia...
They had a siesta from seriously 1 - 4:30 in the afternoon. And some shops didn't even bother opening again until closer to 5:30, & thats if they felt like opening again at all! It was crazy...
it was SO quiet in the afternoon - quite the contrast from busy Dublin life.
Bike ride!
Katy & I utilizing the self-timer, yet again.
Snapshots on our boat ride to Neptune's Grotto - a little coastal cave.
We pulled into the cave & had to use this veryyyy wobbly bridge to get off the boat. Just walking on it made me sea sick.
Then we walked up these 600 steps along the cliffs, which lead down into the cave.

I connected to you through another blog. I just thought all of Ireland was blarney stones, clover fields and dark beer pubs. Interesting pictures.
